About the Meeting
Government of India has approved the development of waste water treatment infrastructure Project in the River Ganga Basin through Hybrid Annuity based PPP mode. In view of this a Market Conference was organized on 24 February, 2016 for sensitizing the market on the development mode chosen for waste water treatment infrastructure.
As a significant step in this direction, Notice Inviting Tenders for construction of 82 MLD Sewage Treatment Plants(STPs) at Haridwar & 50 MLD STP at Varanasi have already been floated by the respective Jal Nigams of Uttrakhand & Uttar Pradesh. International Finance Corporation (IFC) has been chosen as the Transaction Advisor (TA) for these projects. The tender documents will be made available from 25th January 2016.
This consultative Meeting would focus on specific issues associated with the procurement & contract management for Hybrid Annuity based PPP projects for waste water infrastructure. IFC will present an overview & approach adopted for the above mentioned projects. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for all concerned players in the waste water sector to offer their views and concerns on Hybrid Annuity based PPP project Procurement.
