an opportunity to serve ganga
Mankind has always recognised the benevolent relationship amongst trees, rains and rivers. Pollution all around us has acquired threatening proportions ever since tampering of this holy trinity went beyond the tolerance level. One of the biggest challenges before us is to restore the forest cover, for which we seek active cooperation under CSR. Forest Research Institute(FRI), Dehradun after detailed study has drawn out an action plan for ‘Forestry Interventions in Ganga’, which envisages afforestation in 1,34,106 hectares of Ganga river bank states at an estimated cost of Rs. 2293.73 Crores. Corporates and Individuals can make tangible contribution by taking part in the afforestation drive, based on the scientific recommendations of FRI. The following afforestation activities can be taken up in collaboration with State Forest Department or any specialised agency.
