Project Updates

On 24th March 2023, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India laid the foundation stone for Interception & Diversion (3.45 km) and 55 MLD STP worth Rs 308
Cr at Assi-BHU Area (Phase II), Varanasi
As on 31st March 2023, Namami Gange mission has sanctioned 428 projects worth Rs 36,513 Cr under various
project components such as sewerage infrastructure, industrial pollution abatement biodiversity, afforestation,
wetland conservation, river front development, groundwater management, public outreach, research and studies.
Against this, 244 projects are completed, and the remaining are under various stages of execution.
