World Wetlands Day
SDM Bulandshahr took part in the
event.
The keynote was delivered by Mr.
G. Asok Kumar DG, NMCG who
spoke about the recent recognition
of Namami Gange as one of the 10
flagship restoration programs by the
United Nations (UN) and reflected
on the importance of wetlands in
river rejuvenation. Wetland Mitras
and Ganga Praharis shared their
experiences on working for wetland
conservation. The program ended
with all participants signing a pledge
for wetland conservation and a
group photo.
As part of the event, a team of
National Mission for Clean Ganga was ‘It’s time for Restoration of NMCG and other officials led by
(NMCG) along with Wildlife Institute Wetlands’. DG, NMCG visited the Biodiversity
